Pattern | Itch To Stitch Coimbra Wrap Top
Colorway | Light Blue
"Surge’s wide rib knit is a unique, versatile fabric. The rib has great horizontal stretch, drapes beautifully, and sews up very nicely. The fabric can easily be a dress, lounge pants or a top.
I used the light blue color-way to sew up the Itch to Stitch Coimbra Wrap Top. I love the texture the wide rib gives. It’s the perfect top to pair with a skirt or dress pants as the weather gets colder."

Pattern | Sonia Estep Designs Whitney
Colorway | Spearmint
"The new wide rib knit fabric is so incredibly versatile! It has a heavier weight to it and is completely opaque! I made a Sonia Estep Designs Whitney for a staple solid piece for my wardrobe, but I could easily see a cute lounge set being made using this fabric! There are so many colors available as well, making this fabric a must have for everyone!"

Pattern | Made For Mermaids Winnie & Primrose
Colorway | Peppercorn
"I love this new wide rib, it's versatile enough to use in many garments. I chose the new Made for Mermaids patterns, Primrose and the Winnie. The Primrose has billowy bishop sleeves that have unique darts in them, with a beautiful hidden pocket in the front of the bodice. The Winnie bottoms have a lovely pintuck accent in the front legs too, making this set truly unique! I took my time cutting and pinning these, but once I began to sew everything pulled together very easily. Sewing this base was great! There was a bit of shape to the material and it held together without slipping under the foot of my machine. There was still enough drape to give me the dramatic sleeves that I was looking for. Both pieces are comfortable and fit as they should based on the pattern, which to me is a great indicator that I chose my fabric and patterns together correctly. I love both pieces as separates, though I don't think they compliment each other as a monochromatic outfit. I'd definitely order this in other colorways -- highly recommend!"

Pattern | Love Notions Forte Top
Colorway | Ivory
"The new wide rib knit is a great choice for a wide range of wardrobe staples. This rib is substantial enough for a lounge set or a cardigan but also has nice drape suitable for swingy tops. I chose to make the latter…the Love Notions Forte top. This rib works great for a statement sleeve featured in this pattern. The creamy, ivory colorway of this rib needs no lining but is also lightweight enough to layer under blazers or cardigans. I think this rib would work wonderfully as a turtle or mock neck top. That’s next on my list!"

Pattern | Made For Mermaids Maeve
Colorway | Kelly Green
"The sheen and feel of this fabric makes it a great choice for dressier garments. It has just the right amount of stretch and recovery for a fitted skirt - and it drapes beautifully for a blousier fit, as well. I used it to make the new Made for Mermaids Maeve pattern, sans the sleeves! This fabric made it a breeze to sew up at record speed. It's a dress that can be layered and worn across all four seasons!"

Pattern | Patterns For Pirates Hepburn
Colorway | Denim
"The Wide Rib Knit is a versatile fabric. It can easily be used for casual, trendy garments or sophisticated, dressy items. I noticed a hole in my wardrobe for fall/winter dresses so I made a long-sleeved Patterns for Pirates Hepburn dress. The subtle sheen of the fabric instantly elevates the dress and makes it look like a designer sweater dress. The fabric has great recovery and doesn't bag out, making it a great option for fitted garments. It has a nice weight and opacity, eliminating the need for lining or additional layers. The Wide Rib was easy to sew with and didn't require any fussing about."

Pattern | True Bias Zoey Dress
Colorway | Fuchsia
" I love the True Bias Zoey Dress pattern so much that I have made 3 of them in prints particularly for summer wear. But I wanted to make another with a solid for a more sophisticated look, even if it is a bright fuchsia pink! The weight of this fabric is perfect for the Fall/Winter seasons and layered like this I stayed warm and toasty. Plus many fashion trends from the 90's are coming back around, so I might even look trendy in this outfit, right?"

Pattern | Made For Mermaids Fae Cardigan
Colorway | Toasted Tan
"My daughter's fashion sense has been evolving lately and I'm loving the opportunity it's given me to sew for her again! She picked out this dress from the store but then the weather cooled down and she wasn't sure how to style it for the winter months. So we decided some leggings/tights and then a long duster cardigan would keep her warm enough. I used the Made For Mermaids Fae Cardigan with the lantern sleeve for extra drama!"

Pattern | Pattern For Pirates Kelli Dress
Colorway | Black
"This new rib is so lovely to work with. I chose black because I needed more solid makes in my wardrobe and this make fit right in. I had many ideas and was able to settle on the Kelli Dress from Patterns for pirates. Finishing this dress led to me looking for two more colors so I can make more. I love this fabrics clean look and smooth hand. These solids are perfect staples for one’s wardrobe. Dresses, tops, cardigans, and pj sets are great options! This fabric has range which leads to so many apparel items!"

Pattern | Wonderful Sews Willow Top
Colorway | Dusty Mint
"Hi Friends, I remember years ago going to Spain and exploring its beautiful cities. I went to Barcelona, Madrid, Majorca , Lisbon & Seville. Each was a pleasure and offered me great & memorable experiences. Seville was my 2nd favorite city where relaxation and a leisurely pace was achieved. Well the new Seville Wide knit rib is just like that to sew. The texture, weight and ease of using this fabric allows you to create your projects unhurried, excited and sewtisfying. The colors rich, vibrant and elegant which allows for both casual and dressy sews. I used the Dusty Mint for my twins ( Lila & Cary) to create the Wonderful Sews Willow top. The sew was fast and the feel of the fabric on the skin a pleasure for them, they felt fancy & comfortable. I paired their top with darker bottoms to show how even casual can be cute. I managed to make the Made for Mermaids Alice top with the mock turtleneck for a fun business classic & sexy look. I paired it with the topica suede scuba duster I made last year to show how complimentary it paired with neutral tones. This outfit with a change of shoes, lipstick & accessories go from business in the day to cutey pie at night."

Pattern | Styla Patterns Benicia
Colorway | Butterscotch
"Now for the Butterscotch colorway in Seville Wide knit rib I made the Styla Patterns Benicia with the cowl neck to show how lovely the drape of the fabric base and it hugs all my curves in the right spots. I managed a 2nd make to sew up the Wonderful Sews Juno top. I love the feel of this base, the weight & how easy it was to sew up. I can't wait to see what you all will create. I know I definitely have a fun loungewear set in sight. Enjoy."

Pattern | Ellie & Mac Classic PJ Bottoms
Colorway | Misty Mauve
"Luxurious, classic and beautiful is how I can describe this new rib knit. The attention to detail on this rib will instantly guide your eyed to the vertical stripes of the sateen luminous vertical stripes. The sateen is a luxury type of weave that gives a smooth luster on the outside of your garment creating a unique texture that's elegant and comfortable. I chose the Ellie and Mac Adult Classic PJ bottoms that creates the perfect way to lounge, relax and stay cozy during this season."

I purchased 3 yds of this lustrous rib knot in a soft smokey blue planning to make up Love Notions Ladies Sunday Romper. Seeing all these lovely makes inspires me even more to make up this fabric! I’ve never worked with this type of knit or many knits at all. Thanks ladies!
