    Sweater Weather

It's beginning to look a lot like winter which means it is sweater weather time! This week we are stocking all sorts of brushed sweater and brushed ribbed sweater knit for all your sweater weather projects! Included in all the new sweater knits are a few coordinated options of the brushed sweater and ribbed sweater knits. Our amazing promotions team had the opportunity to sew the coordinated options up prior to stocking and made some gorgeous inspiration for you all.

These coordinating knits as well as several other sweater knits will be stocking today at 7pm CST. They will be available here:

Black Sweater & Rib Knit - Dana

We are moving from fall into winter, and sweater season is in full effect! That means it’s time for all the soft and cozy sweater knits! This sweater knit is lightweight but brushed on the outside so it’s cozy without being bulky. The coordinating ribbing adds an extra special touch that will take any pattern to the next level. I chose the Ellie and Mac Favorite Sweater because the off the shoulder look really highlights the ribbing and adds some extra sass to help fight those winter blues!

Navy Sweater & Rib Knit - Erin

I sewed up the navy color way of the brushed sweater and rib knit. I love that the fabrics take the second guessing out of picking a coordinate! I chose to sew up the Papercut Patterns Coppelia because I loved the faux wrap aspect paired with the raglan sleeve. This was the first pattern I have stumbled across that features both of those aspects and so I had to try it! I used the ribbed knit for the neck band and cuffs.

Heather Grey Sweater & Rib Knit - Amanda

I have been waiting for these fabrics to become available! Sometimes I just want to finish a sweater with ribbing like you can find in RTW. Now we can have all the perfectly matched ribbed cuffs, cowls, and bands without the fuss! The sweater weight and stability is perfect for any project. Also, the brushed ribbing is very soft. It feels great as the cuffs and cowl touching my skin!

Mustard Sweater & Rib Knit - Sarah

I have a hard time with body image while I’m pregnant, so the easy solution was to make “just another cardigan” with these sweater knits. But, while I do love my cardigans, it made me a little sad to do the same old thing over again. So I sat on the idea for a few days and realized that the feel of these fabrics was too luxurious for a cardigan and needed to be a garment worthy of their caliber. I decided on the Favorite Sweater from Ellie and Mac and it was the perfect choice!

Burgundy Sweater & Rib Knit - Nichole

When I first saw this fabric I fell in love with the colors. They're rich and the soft fabric would be perfect for colder weather. I knew I wanted something I'd wear frequently, so I chose the Chalk & Notch Pixie Tee. The relaxed fit would be the perfect versatile piece and the bands would be perfect for the coordinating rib knit. Since I'm a sucker for a mommy & me set and squeezing every bit of life out of fabric, I also made my daughter a Little Lizard King Sausalito Sweater. Her sweater style is very similar to mine so we can twin unabashedly.

Mauve Sweater & Rib Knit - Christina

Who doesn't love a cozy cardigan made with sweater knit for a chilly fall day? That's why when I saw this mauve sweater knit with coordinating rib I immediately thought of the Cocoon Cardigan from Patterns For Pirates. It is quickly becoming a favorite of mine to sew and I knew it would pair nicely with this amazing fabric. The rib knit worked perfectly for the bands. It has great stretch and recovery and it looks fabulous paired with the coordinating sweater knit I used for the body and sleeves.  This cardigan is not only stylish but it does a fantastic job keeping me warm and cozy too.
