Berlin Brushed Hacci & Rib Knit - Inspiration

The last week the weather has dramatically cooled down which means... SWEATER KNIT TIME!!! This week we are stocking two new beautiful fabrics, the Berlin Brushed Hacci and a MATCHING Rib Knit. Take a look below for some gorgeous inspiration from our amazing promoter team.

    Blush - Christina

Even with all the amazing patterns to choose from that work well with sweater knits, I knew exactly which one to choose. The La Bella Donna by Love Notions. I wanted something that would showcase the rib fabric and the cowl and bands on the LBD do that so nicely. I love how I feel when I’m wearing this sweater. It’s so comfortable while also making me feel a little more dressed up than when I wear my usual hoodies.

    Chestnut - Sarah

I chose to make the Going Home sweater by Ellie and Mac. That rib knit was just begging to become a cowl and the color is even more beautiful in person than on a screen. I added a button tab to my sweater just to add a little pizzazz!

    Hunter Green - Erin

One of my favorite parts of ready-to-wear clothing is the ability to have perfectly matching rib knits. So when Kayla said she got some gorgeous matching sweater knit/rib knit combos I was so excited! Of course I had to make myself a Hug Hoodie from Made It Patterns. The hem detail is so fun, especially with the added detail the rib knit offers! I had just enough fabric left over to make my oldest a Pattern's for Pirates Jolly Roger Raglan. The JRR is my go-to scrap buster for fall fabrics.

    Lavender - Kamali

I knew that this fabric would be perfect for the Made For Mermaids Fae Cardigan so I went for it! I’m so glad I did because this is the softest cardigan I’ve made so far. I felt so cozy and beautiful in this Lavender. The rib knit for the cuffs and bands completed the look. It’s so soft and I see many more sweaters and cardigan in more colors with this sweater knit!

    Marsala - Amanda

This is the Sinclair Sandy that's testing right now for updated sizing and new features. Because this is a lightweight sweater knit, I figured it would work well for a drapey tunic. I really liked being able to highlight the matching rib in my cowl and pocket bands! I'm thinking I might have to go back and add cuffs too!

    Mustard - Nichole

I really like the coordinating sweater and rib knit and wanted to make something that would use the rib for more than just cuffs. I liked the back yoke detail of the Love Notions Sloane Sweater. I decided to use the rib knit in a chevron pattern on the yoke for some extra interest. It ended up making a great cozy sweater than I'm sure to love this fall.
