34IN REMNANT; Wrought Iron Galway Wool Spandex Jersey Knit
This wool spandex jersey knit is the ideal medium weight knit that offers a cool hand and soft touch. The spandex content gives this fabric phenomenal four way stretch. Wool is a great fabric choice not only for the winter months, but also for warm weather as wool is natural temperature regulator in that it is breathable and moisture wicking. We suggest using this fabric for t-shirts, tank tops, base layers, and undergarments, but it can be used for so much more.
This fabric is not reorder-able.
Fabric Content: 97% wool/3% spandex
Fabric Width: 44/46-50/52"
Fabric Weight: ~7-9oz/linear yard or ~190-220gsm
Stretch Percentages: 100% horizontal/50% vertical
Country of Origin: Korea
Fabric Care: The wool composition makes this a special care fabric. You will need to handwash with cool water (preferable), or use the delicate cycle with little to no agitation and hang/lay flat to dry. You may also choose to steam clean. Prior to sewing, it is advised to pretreat this fabric as you will treat your finished garment as the fabric may shrink some depending on your care routine. Wool is wonderful fiber, incredibly insulating and worth the extra care. Wool also has antimicrobial/antibacterial properties by nature and will require less washing than other fibers.
Please note these are sold by the half yard. To receive 1 yard, please purchase a quantity of '2'.

I bought this for 2 reasons. First, I wanted to see what a wool stretch knit looked like and felt like. 2nd, I wanted to make a light warm hooded scarf to wear under my rain coat in the winter. The fabric is light, stretchy and soft. I think it is perfect for a light layer of added warmth.
