Our Banff sweater knit is a one-of-a-kind thick 1x1 rib that harnesses the features of a ready-to-wear (RTW) sweater. It is super soft for next to skin comfort. One side is slightly brushed which is most commonly used as the right side, but as the garment maker, you can decide which you'd prefer next to skin. At 350gsm, this fabric is nearly double the weight of most standard sweater knits, ensuring your finished garment will keep you warm. This fabric makes fantastic cardigans and sweaters, but would also be suitable for sweater style dresses, hats and so much more!

Please note: We did find that after washing this fabric the width grew significantly while the length shrunk. If you need the full 2 yard length for your sewing plans, we suggest ordering an additional yard to ensure you have enough. Otherwise, hand-washing and shaping the fabric to the correct dimensions (blocking) and laying flat to dry will be necessary.
