    Pylos Li-Knit

We found this fabulous fabric on our last fabric excursion and instantly fell in love with it. We ordered ton of colors! It is a faux linen knit which feels and acts like a woven linen but with the ease of knit fabrics! It is perfect for elevating your makes to the next level as the drape and texture make it feel high end.

The fabric has 50% 2 way stretch (ie horizontal stretch) and the content is 55% rayon/45%nylon.

Our wonderful promoters had the chance to try it out these past few weeks and we had them each write a little bit about what they made with the fabric. So keep reading if you want to be inspired!

Dark Taupe - Sewn by Erin

The Dark Taupe is your classic linen color which is one of my favorites although I don't have anything in that color because I have been too scared to try linen fabric yet! I knew I wanted to make a fun and unique dress with this fabric and after looking at tons of Pinterest pins I found a gorgeous dress that I decided to replicate with the Meridian Dress from Papercut Patterns. The pattern is designed for woven fabric but I didn't make any changes to the pattern using knit fabric other than assembling it on my serger instead of using my standard machine and then finishing raw edges so it was soooo much easier!

    Black - Sewn by Dana

I made the Greenstyle Brassie Joggers because I wanted to try making linen pants but with a knit pattern. Linen is cool in the summer and this fabric has beautiful drape so I was hoping for pants that could be dressed up or down but would still be comfortable in the summer and that’s what I got!

    Seafoam - Sewn by Christina

My inspiration for my top came from Pinterest. I saw an oversized short sleeve dolman with a tie I just had to recreate. My goal was to use a pattern I already owned and one that called for knit fabric. My first thought was the Pumpkin Spice Dolman by Patterns for Pirates. The style of the PSD was perfect and the only modification I made was to add the tie. It came out just as I imagined and is so comfortable to wear too.

    Marsala - Sewn by Amanda

I have been waiting for just the right fabric to make the Named Kielo Wrap dress! I wanted it to be lightweight and have an almost airy drape. Basically what you get from many woven fabrics. Linen is typically a fabric I avoid because so many wrinkle, but this knit version does not do that! I really appreciate the look of a woven garment, but it was made with the ease of sewing knit. And isn't the Marsala color just gorgeous?! The fabric is very saturated with color.

    Ivory - Sewn by Nichole

I made the Hey June Phoenix Blouse for my top. The fabric is the perfect lightweight and flowy drape to match with the pattern. I think it made for a soft and feminine top that could be casual or dressy. This is a woven pattern, but still worked nicely with this knit. I made my measured size and followed most of the instructions as written minus using French seams.

Hunter Green - Sewn by Kyema

I wanted a nice summery top out of a fabric that had some visual interest and felt that the endless summer tee would be perfect. It was really fun to use a style of fabric that normally would be reserved for a woven pattern and use it for essentially a t-shirt. I love the texture and interest that it brings to a solid color and can't wait to use my scraps for a baby romper.

These are lovely makes! Great job, ladies! Quick question: being made out of rayon, does this pill?

What a lovely runway show! I liked hearing what each of the contributors had to say. Is the fabric ‘hot’ like a DBP would be or is it more comfortable for summer wear?
